In short
- We collect what Peppi needs to style you: your answers, your profile, the looks you save and, if you choose virtual try-on, your photos.
- We don't sell your data, show ads or share your data for advertising.
- Your location is used on your phone to get the weather. It isn't sent to our servers.
- AI services from Anthropic and Google process some data to create your outfits, Style DNA and try-ons.
- Everything has a time limit, and you can delete your account and data at any time.
Who we are
Peppi is provided by Yosef Yaaran, doing business as Peppistyle, 26664 NE Walden Way, Duvall, WA 98019, USA ("Peppi", "we", "us"). We decide how your personal data is used and are responsible for it. For any privacy question or request, write to peppistyle1@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
Your account
When you first open Peppi, an anonymous account is created for you, without your name or email. If you sign in with Google or email, we receive your email address and, for Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. We use them to identify your account. Your email isn't used for marketing.
Your profile
Your gender and age, and your body shape if you choose to add it. They're stored on your phone and sent with each outfit request, so the outfits and photos suit you. Body shape only guides fit and is never mentioned in the outfits.
Your outfit requests
The occasion, day and time, formality, the temperature and weather conditions, and anything you add in Refine further (notes, a style inspiration, color rules). We use them to create your outfits, and keep the results briefly in memory so that asking again with the same answers is quick and free.
Your location
With your permission, your phone uses your location to ask OpenWeatherMap for the weather and the name of your city. Only the temperature and conditions are sent to our servers, never your location. The city name is kept on your phone to show with your last outfits. You can also type a city instead.
Your saved looks
A saved look holds the outfit's text, the link to its photo (the photo itself is never copied) and what you asked for. Without an account, looks stay on your phone. With an account, they're kept on your phone and in our cloud database. For your Style DNA we also keep a short copy of each saved look (garments, colors, fit, formality and occasion, without the photo).
Your Style DNA
With Signature or Couture, we calculate your Style DNA from your saved looks: style scores, preferences, behavior by occasion and a short written summary. We keep the current version and a history of up to 20 earlier versions.
Virtual try-on (Couture, 18 and over)
Virtual try-on is only for people aged 18 and over. It uses photos of a person's face and body, so we don't accept photos of anyone younger: the app checks the age in your profile, asks you to confirm you're 18 or older before any upload, and refuses a photo if the person in it could be under 18. Users under 18 can use the rest of Peppi, including Couture's outfits and Style DNA.
Only after you agree, we receive the full-body photos you add (up to 2), a version with the background removed, your body measurements and any height you enter, and the try-on pictures and 360° views we create. We record that you agreed and when. Your photos and try-ons are stored privately and only shown to you. They show your face and body, so we treat them with particular care and use them only to provide try-on.
Your plan and purchases
Your plan, its dates, whether automatic payment is on, and any outfit packs. Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We receive confirmation of what you bought through our payment provider, RevenueCat, but never your card details.
Usage and your phone
How many outfit requests and try-ons you've used, when you were last active, and which photos you've been shown this month (so you don't see the same one twice). To stop the free outfit requests being claimed again after a reinstall, we keep a one-way code made from your phone's app ID. It can't be turned back into the ID.
Technical logs
Our servers record technical information such as your IP address, the time of a request and errors, to keep Peppi running and secure.
Google user data
Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose it, this is how Peppi handles the data it gets from your Google account.
- What we receive: only your Google account's basic profile: your email address, your name and your profile picture, plus an account ID that Google Sign-In gives us. We don't ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive, photos or any other Google data, and we can't see your Google password.
- How we use it: only to sign you in, keep your plan, saved looks and Style DNA with your account across phones, and answer you when you write to us. We don't use it for advertising or marketing, and we don't send it to the AI services that create your outfits and try-ons.
- How we store it: in Google Firebase Authentication, our sign-in service, protected by Google's security, and encrypted in transit.
- Who we share it with: no one. We don't sell or rent it, and we don't share it with anyone except Google, which runs our sign-in service on our behalf, or when the law requires it.
- How to remove it: delete your account in the app (Account → Delete my account) or as described here, and your Google data is deleted with it. You can also remove Peppi's access at any time in your Google Account, under Security → Your connections to third-party apps and services.
Peppi's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How Peppi uses AI
- Outfits, photos and Style DNA: Anthropic's Claude models plan your outfits, choose and describe the photos, check the age of the people in them, score your saved looks and write your Style DNA summary. They receive your outfit request and profile (or your saved looks), not your name or email.
- Try-on photo checks: Claude checks each try-on photo (one person, full body, clothed, adult, sharp and well lit) before it's kept.
- Try-on and measurements: Google's Gemini models remove the background, estimate your measurements and create each try-on and 360° view from your photos.
These providers process the data only to return results to us. Under their terms for paid use of their services, Anthropic and Google don't use it to train their models. AI results are approximations, and try-ons are marked as created with AI.

California residents: we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Children and teens
Peppi is for people aged 13 and over, and virtual try-on is for people aged 18 and over. Peppi isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. In some countries the age to agree to data processing on your own is higher, up to 16; below it, a parent or guardian must agree for you. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, or a teen without the consent they needed, write to us and we'll delete it.
Security and transfers
Data is encrypted in transit, and try-on photos and results can't be reached from any phone except through our servers, which show them only to their owner. Our providers are mainly in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
